Leetpro Esports secure WESG spot for Dota 2

Leetpro Esports have become the fourth South African representative to secure a spot in the WESG Grand Finals. The Leetpro Dota 2 team secured a 2-0 win of Tunisian’s Raze Esports to grab the African slot in China next year.

The Tunisian’s did appear to suffer with internet issues during the match, resulting in multiple game pauses. However, the result stands and Leetpro now join fellow qualifying South Africans Bravado Gaming, Nibble Esports and Goliath Gaming at the $5.5 million finale in March.

The four teams and the titles they will represent at WESG are:

  • CS:GO – Bravado Gaming
  • Dota 2 – Leetpro Esports
  • Hearthstone – Vivid (Nibble Esports)
  • StarCraft II – Drager (Goliath Gaming)

The South African competitors will have their flights and accommodation covered for the trip to China. We will of course keep you updated on stream links and other details closer to the event.
