ESL Challengers League S40 playoffs details

If you want to watch ATK Arena’s CS:GO squad compete at the ESL Challengers League S40 North America playoffs, then you will probably need some coffee, or set an early alarm. Since this is a North American-based tournament, each day of the playoffs begins very early in the mornings, at 02:00 SAST to be exact.

The ESL Challengers League Season 40 playoffs begin on Wednesday, 30 March and will run until 4 April 2022. Teams are competing for a prize pool of $50,000. At the time of writing, that’s roughly R738,000. This is a double-elimination bracket affair, with all matches being best-of-three, except for the grand finals, which is best-of-five with a one-map advantage going to the team coming from the upper bracket.

Each day begins at 02:00 SAST. ATK is facing Strife Esports in the opening match. If they win, they will proceed to the semi-finals to face the winner of paiN Gaming and Party Astronauts on 31 March at 02:00 SAST. The grand finals of ESL Challenger League Season 40 North America will start on 4 April at 02:00.

You can catch all the action either via the main ESL CS:GO Twitch channel or the B stream. We can’t wait to see how ATK’s CS:GO squad performs, as it is always fantastic to see some South African players, especially under a local organization’s banner, compete against international opponents.
