DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 finals taking place this weekend
If you are looking for some top tier CS:GO esports action to watch this coming weekend, then look no further than DreamHack Masters Spring 2021. Unfortunately for Extra Salt fans (two South Africans and a coach), the squad got eliminated during the gruelling group stage after a great performance at Funspark ULTI Europe Finals.
However, that doesn’t mean you should miss out on DreamHack Masters Spring 2021, with the playoffs bracket promising some extremely exciting matches. Here’s what you need to know about the finals, including the schedule and how to watch all the action.
DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 playoffs details
Via the Round-Robin group stage, the 16 DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 teams have been reduced to just six. The final six teams will face off in a single-elimination bracket, where teams have been placed thanks to their performances in the group stage.
The remaining teams are:
- G2 Esports
- Astralis
- FURIA
- Na’Vi
- Gambit
- Heroic
Both Gambit and Heroic are awaiting their opponents in the semi-finals as these squads placed at the top of their respective groups. Keep in mind all matches are best-of-three, with the exception of the grand final, which is best-of-five. Check out the match schedule below in SAST so you don’t miss a second of the action.
- Astralis vs G2 Esports (Quarterfinal 1) – 7 May at 16:45
- FURIA vs Na’Vi (Quarterfinal 2) – 7 May at 20:00
- Gambit vs winner of Quarterfinal 1 – 8 May at 16:45
- Heroic vs winner of Quarterfinal 2 – 8 May at 20:00
- Grand final – 9 May at 16:00
There’s a prize pool of $250,000 (roughly R3,6 million at the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate) a well as a tonne of ESL Pro Tour points up for grabs.
