Burger King x COD Collab in South Africa – Prizes, events and more
It’s always fun to see a company outside the gaming world dive in and deliver some flavourful events. Speaking of flavour, Burger King has collaborated with Call of Duty for the release of Modern Warfare 2 and is bringing some tasty treats globally and in South Africa, for customers who happen to be Modern Warfare 2 players.
Burger King x COD Collab – ZA Events
So first up, anyone who purchases a Call of Duty meal at Burger King gets a redeemable code. This code will award Modern Warfare 2 players with a double XP token and the BK Operator Skin. The 2XP token lasts for one hour, but you can redeem up to 40 hours’ worth of tokens if you purchase enough COD meals from your nearest Burger King. This offer is valid from 1 to 30 November 2022.
But wait, there’s more, a lot more, actually. According to a press release we’ve received, a Burger King COD Modern Warfare 2 game station will be travelling across the country starting on 7 November 2022. It will visit various Burger King restaurants in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.
Not only will you get the first rewards mentioned in this article, You will also get to play on a trial version of Modern Warfare 2 and compete in a leaderboard. Players who compete will go into an additional draw to win prizes such as the Modern Warfare 2 game, gaming monitors, gaming headsets, Burger Town T-Shorts, and even Burger King meal vouchers.
Burger King South Africa will announce the exact locations on social media.
Going-Dark Event:
This all comes to a thrilling conclusion with an awesome “Going-Dark” event which runs from 24 to 26 November at the N1 City Burger King in Cape Town.
“At the Going-Dark events, the game will literally be brought to life, after-dark, and Burger King customers will have the opportunity to don night-vision goggles and enter the “Going-Dark Tunnel†for a fully immersive Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II challenge experience. There will also be a NXTLevel zone with other fun Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II activities, including surprise celebrity appearances.”
Well, that all sounds quite tasty. We hope you get to enjoy the Burger King x Call of Duty collab, and we do really love how something of this nature is taking place in South Africa.
