Rocket League All Stars event with R50,000 prize pool announced

South African tournament organizer Mettlestate and Incredible Connection, in partnership with Predator, has announced the Rocket League All Stars tournament for local gamers to compete in. This huge event features a R50,000 prize pool that local gamers shouldn’t miss out on. Here’s what you need to know.

Rocket League All Stars details

First and foremost, despite the huge prize pool, registration is completely free. You can head over to the All Star 2022 page on Mettlestate to register. This is a 3v3 tournament, so get your team together and start your engines.

Registrations close on Sunday, 6 November 2022. The round-robin group stage will start on Monday, 7 November, at 18:00, with check-ins opening at 17:00. Following the group stage, the playoffs will begin on 28 November, and the finals are scheduled to take place on 10 December.

Prize pool distribution:

• 1st place – R25,000
• 2nd place – R12,000
• 3rd place – R8,000
• 4th place – R5,000

GROUP STAGES

• Teams will be placed into one of four groups
• The group stages will be played as the Best of 5
• These teams will play a round-robin format during the group stages
• Where teams will all face each other team to get our top teams in each group

PLAYOFFS

• The top two teams from each group will be promoted to the Playoffs bracket
• Giving us our top 8 teams
• The bracket will be a single elimination Best of 7 bracket
• Teams will play down until we have our finalists

GRAND FINALS

• Top 2 teams will play in the grand finals.
• The grand finals will be played live at rAge expo 2022.
• The games will be played as a best-of-seven.
• First team to reach 4 wins will be the grand victors.
• Travel & accommodation will be provided if finalist are located outside of Gauteng.

The Rocket League All Stars tournament finals will take place at rAge 2022 on Saturday, 10 December. rAge 2022 takes place from 9 to 11 December 2022. It has a new home, the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.
