RLCS SSA Fall Cup results – May Contain Nuts does it again

The best Rocket League teams in Sub-Saharan Africa, filled chiefly with South African players, have been competing in the RLCS SSA Fall Cup. Over this past weekend, this awesome tournament concluded, so here are the results.

RLCS SSA Fall Cup Results

A total of 16 teams competed at the RLCS SSA Fall Cup, fighting for their share of the $20,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s over R360,000. Following the 16-Team Swiss System Format, eight teams were eliminated on the first day, while the other eight made it to the playoffs bracket.

In case you didn’t know, May Contain Nuts, with three South African players and a coach from Puerto Rico, won the Fall Open and continued their dominance in the Fall Cup. In the single-elimination playoffs, May Contain Nuts demolished White Rabbit Gaming with a 4-0 win.

They then continued to smack down Reformed with another 4-0 victory after losing to this team in the 16-Team Swiss System Format stage, taking their revenge. May Contain Nuts finished it off by beating ATK Arena’s Rocket League team 4-2 in the grand final.

The May Contain Nuts team is clearly the squad to beat heading into the RLCS 2022/2023 SSA Fall Invitational, which will take place next week, Friday, 11 November 2022. The squad consists of:

  • David “2Die4” Morgenrood
  • Gareth “Snowyy” Spiers
  • Ethan “Darth.” Deysel
  • Aaron “Noxes” Cadiz (Coach)

May Contain Nuts wins $6,000 and 16 RLCS points for their dominating performance. ATK, for their efforts during the RLCS Sub-Saharan Africa Fall Open, wins $4,000 and 12 RLCS points.
