Bravado Gaming Call of Duty are in London
This weekend, the Bravado Gaming Call of Duty team are playing in the United Kingdom. The PlayStation 4 team will be participating in the Call of Duty World League London open bracket. On the line is a cash prize and an opportunity to face off against the world’s current top 16 professional teams.
The South African team will first need to battle their way past around 100 teams in the double elimination bracket. If they manage that, a number of championship teams lay in wait. The Bravado team does have one thing in their favour – they are unknown to most teams in London, and that may play to their advantage.
While the tournament bracket is live, it is altering as teams check in for the Friday start. It’s also unclear how much of the action featuring the South Africans will be streamed. You can tune in to the various channels available via MLG, including the one stream dedicated to the open bracket. The event will be played in one of London’s Olympic venues, Copper Box Arena, and will be operated by Gfinity. In total there is $400,000 on the line, with the open bracket securing $75,000 of the prize pool. The tournament runs from 3 to 5 May 2019.

Bravado Gaming are not the first South African console team to attend an international Call of Duty event. In 2013, Team Xtaz qualified for the Call of Duty World Championships, and in 2014 so did another local team. Well, they were almost local until they got to the United States…
