VCT Masters Madrid results and final standings

At the first big Valorant esports event of the year, VCT Masters Madrid 2024, we saw the best teams in the world compete for their share of a huge prize pool, all all-important VCT Points to secure a spot at the Valorant Championship taking place at the end of the year. Here’s what went down at VCT Masters Madrid.

At the Madrid Arena in Spain, we saw the best eight Valorant teams compete on LAN in front of a crowd from 14 to 24 March 2024. During the Swiss Stage from 14 to 18 March, four teams got eliminated, while the top four made it to the double-elimination playoffs. There were some surprising results, with EDward Gaming losing out on the spot in the playoffs.

During the VCT 2024 Masters Madrid playoffs, we saw Gen.G Esports on top form, smashing Paper Rex with a clean 2-0 and then beating Sentinels 2-1 to make it to the grand final. Sentinels first beat Brazillian squad LOUD 2-1 before getting knocked down to the lower bracket by Gen.G Esports.

In the lower bracket final, Sentinels convincingly beat Paper Rex 3-1 to earn a spot in the grand final of VCT 2024 Masters Madrid. In the grand final, we saw Sentinels take their revenge in spectacular fashion, beating Gen.G Esports 3-2 by winning the final to maps to complete the comeback!

This Sunday, 24 March 2024, the event came to a thrilling conclusion.

  • 1st place – Sentinels wins $250,000
  • 2nd place – Gen.G Esports wins $100,000
  • 3rd place – Paper Rex wins $65,000
  • 4th place – LOUD wins $35,000
  • 5th & 6th place – EDward Gaming and Karmine Corp win $15,000 each.
  • 7th & 8th place – Team Heretics and FunPlus Pheonix win $10,000 each.

A big congratulations go out to Sentinels for winning the VCT 2024 Masters Madrid event and basically securing their spot at the Valorant Champions event at the end of the year. Stay tuned, Agents, as the VCT 2024 Masters Shanghai event begins in May!
