Red Bull Campus Clutch World Final viewer’s guide
South African Valorant team and Socks Up, who won the Red Bull Campus Clutch 2022 ZA national final, will be competing in the Red Bull Campus Clutch World Final tournament starting today, 13 December 2022. Bravado Gaming’s team will also be competing! Here’s what you need to know.
Red Bull Campus Clutch World Final details
Running from 13 to 16 December 2022, the tournament features 47 university student teams from across the globe. This includes Bravado Gaming’s team, filled with players from Egypt, and Socks Up, filled with players from South Africa.
The Red Bull Campus Clutch World Final is taking place in São Paulo, Brazil. There’s a prize pool of 20,000 Euros to compete for at this massive event and “an exclusive VIP experience at a 2023 VALORANT Champions Tour event.†At the current Euro to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R370,000.
The event starts with a group stage. Here, seven groups of six teams each and one group of five teams will compete in a Round Robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the playoffs. All matches in the group stage are best-of-one, leaving no room for error.
Following the group stage, 16 teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket. Here, all matches will be best-of-three, with the exception of the grand final, which is a best-of-five affair.
