ESL Challenger League S43 NA – ATK competes in playoffs

Featuring South Africans Gareth “MisteM” Ries and Rhys “Fadey” Armstrong, ATK Arena’s CS:GO squad will compete in the ESL Challenger League Season 43 North America playoffs starting this week, following a dominating performance during the group stage. Here’s what you need to know about the playoffs.

ESL Challenger League S43 NA playoffs

ATK crushed their opposition during the group stage of the ESL Challenger League Season 43 North America. We saw the team go undefeated, with a 7-0 score in Group A, earning themselves a top-seed spot in the playoffs.

The playoffs run from 14 to 19 December, as the top eight teams compete for their share of the $50,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R880,000. The winner also gets a spot in the EPL Conference Season 17, and everyone who made it to the playoffs remain in the ESL Challenger League for Season 44.

This is a double-elimination bracket with all matches being best-of-three, except for the grand finals. In the grand finals, the upper bracket team will have a one-map advantage in the best-of-five slugfest.

ATK’s first match in the ESL Challenger League S43 NA playoffs is against Brazillian squad MIBR. We wish them all the best of luck and hope to see ATK in the grand finals! The grand finals will take place on 19 December at 03:00 SAST.

If you are awake for the matches, you can watch them all and maybe support ATK Arena’s CS:GO squad on the official ESL CS:GO Twitch channel. Each day the matches begin at 03:00 SAST, since the tournament is being held in North America.
