RLCS SSA Fall Invitational taking place this weekend

Following the RLCS SSA Fall Open and Cup, the top Rocket League teams in Sub-Saharan Africa (filled with mostly players from South Africa) will compete in the RLCS SSA Fall Invitational. It will be an absolute slugfest to watch this weekend. Here’s what you need to know.

RLCS SSA Fall Invitational details

Teams received invites based on RLCS 2022/2023 points. The top 16 teams will compete for their share of the $20,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s over R360,000.

The RLCS SSA Fall Cup starts on 11 November with the Swiss System Format, where all matches are best-of-five. The top eight teams following the Swiss Stage will head to the playoffs, while the bottom eight will be eliminated. The playoffs feature a single-elimination bracket format, with teams seeded based on their standings from the Swiss Stage. All matches in the playoffs are best-of-seven. The playoffs will take place from 12 to 13 November 2022.

The teams competing are:
  • May Contain Nuts
  • ATK
  • Orlando Pirates Exdee
  • White Rabbit Gaming
  • Red Crown Esports
  • Reformed
  • AIPX Gaming
  • Team Espionage
  • Aureon E-Sports
  • Astronic Esports
  • The Bros
  • Lupo Rosso
  • SunMoon Esport
  • Team TKO
  • Fish
  • ICE Esports

It will be interesting to see if May Contain Nuts can continue their winning streak after winning the Fall Open and Cup over the past few months. Will they make it a treble, or will another team claim the Fall Invitational crown? You can tune into the ACGL Alpha Twitch channel to find out.
