C3ZA LAN with R40,000 prize pool at rAge 2022 announced

South African tournament organizer African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL), in partnership with Acer Predator, has announced a huge Modern Warfare 2 tournament that will take place at rAge 2022 this year. It is called the Call of Duty Community Cup (C3ZA). Here’s what you need to know.

C3ZA rAge 2022 details

This is a LAN event taking place at rAge 2022 at the Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand, Gauteng. The tournament will run from 9 to 11 December 2022, and the game will be the recently-released Modern Warfare 2. There’s a total prize pool of R40,000 to compete for.

However, you do need to know that teams who plan on competing will have to purchase a #C3ZA MWII rAge LAN Ticket from the ACGL shop. It costs R2,400, but remember, this includes not only entry into the LAN but also the entire rAge 2022 for the weekend, and it is for four players.

After you’ve purchased a ticket for your team, an admin will make contact. Also, players aged between 16 and 18 years of age will be required to submit a parental consent form to compete. Please contact anthony@acgl.gg to supply the form.

The Schedule:
  • 9 December 2022: Player check-in, set up and matches
  • 10 December 2022: Matches continue
  • 11 December 2022: Championship Sunday

You need to bring your own gaming device to compete, whether a PC or a console. However, input is only controllers, with no mouse & keyboard allowed.

ACGL did note that additional details will be sent closer to the time of the event, and that selected matches will be played on a stage!

What to Bring:
  • Preferred gaming platform (console or PC)
  • Screen (no larger than 32″)
  • Game (digital or disc). Remember to update
  • Preferred controller (Scuf and other internationally allowed controllers allowed)
  • Headset

You can keep up to date with all their announcements by following ACGL on Twitter and Facebook and joining their Discord server. Use #C3ZA on social media to join the discussion.
