Predator Ultimate Gamer challenge with R130,000 gaming setup prize
South African tournament organizer African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL) and Acer Predator have announced the Predator Ultimate Gamer challenge, and it is definitely one not to be missed. The prize is an “Ultimate Gaming setup worth R130,000,” and while we don’t know the exact specs, we are sure the setup will be an absolute beast. Here’s what you need to know.
Predator Ultimate Gamer details
So let’s cut right to the chase; the Predator Ultimate Gamer challenge will take place at rAge 2022, which is in Johannesburg at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand from 9 to 11 December. Those who want to enter can do so completely for free, as they will have to be at rAge 2022 on 10 December and head over to the Predator stand for open qualifiers.
Players will compete in “a variety of short-forming gaming competitions” to qualify for the finals, which will take place on 11 December 2022. Participants will have to show their “ability and skills to perform across a variety of titles”. You don’t have to bring your own device, as the competition will be held on Acer Predator laptops.
There’s also an online way to qualify straight for the finals of the Predator Ultimate Gamer challenge if you are lucky enough. ACGL has outlined the ways to qualify below.
How to qualify online:
- Participate in one of our Predator Ultimate Gamer Mini-Cups and automatically gain an entry into the draw. See the landing page for the tournament listings.
- Post a photo of your current gaming setup using #PredatorUltimateGamer on your favourite social platform to gain entry.
- Predator Logo Hunt: Find all 5 Predator logos on the ACGL platform and gain a bonus entry into the draw. For clues check out our landing page.
One person will win entry into the Predator Ultimate Gamer. This includes a free Weekend Pass for rAge 2022. However, you will have to sort out your own accommodation and make your own travel arrangements to attend the finals on 11 December in person.
