Clash Royale Season 16 balance changes

If you are a competitive Clash Royale player, then the most important thing about any new season is the balance changes. While Clash Royale Season 16 launched earlier this week on 5 October, the balance changes for the latest season only went live on 6 October in an update. Here’s what you need to know.

The Clash Royale Season 16 balance changes are now live, and a total of six cards have been affected. Musketeer and Three Musketeers both received a nerf. Alongside the Musketeer nerf comes a nerf to Healing Spirit, as well as Skeleton Dragons nerf.

Battle Healer and Royale Ghost are the only cards to receive buffs, and the buff is exactly the same for both these cards. Check out an image from Royale API below showcasing the Clash Royale Season 16 balance changes.

If you are wondering what “Hover” means for both the Royale Ghost and the Battle Healer buffs, then we’ve got you covered. The “Hover” mechanic allows units to cross the river, just like the Hog Rider can, for example. While the units didn’t receive balance changes in terms of raw stats, the addition of the Hover mechanic should open up more tactics for using these cards, and can definitely be considered a substantial buff.

Alongside the Clash Royale Season 16 balance changes also come two new cards in the form of the Electro Giant as well as Electro Spirit. Both these cards should be great at nullifying the effects of Inferno Tower or Inferno Dragon, and are welcome additions to the lineup.
