Red Bull Hit the Streets South African finals taking place this week
South African fighting game community fans are in for a treat this week, as the Red Bull Hit the Streets finals are taking place on Thursday, 3 December 2020. Players from all across the country have been competing in qualifiers over the past month, leading up to the finals with an incredible first-place prize for both Tekken 7 and Street Fighter V. Here’s what you need to know about the South African finals.
Red Bull Hit the Streets finals
This year, the qualifiers took place online due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. However, the qualified players will travel to Cape Town to participate in the Red Bull Hit the Streets finals. This year, there has been the inclusion of Tekken 7, after 2019 only had Street Fighter V, which Jabhi “JabhiM” Mabuza won.
JabhiM qualified for this year’s finals and is the favourite to win the Street Fighter V tournament. However, there are some strong contenders, so it will be absolutely exciting to watch the action on Thursday. The Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQ) will also take place on the day. The action will be streamed live on Red Bull’s Twitch.tv channel from 19h00.
