If you love FIFA esports then you are in for a treat this week. Following the FIFAe World Cup 2022 (1v1) conclusion this past weekend, it is time for the FIFAe Club World Cup (2v2) to kick off this week. Here are all the important details so you don’t miss any of the FIFA 22 esports action.
FIFAe Club World Cup 2022 details
The FIFAe Club World Cup 2022 is an offline event scheduled to take place in Denmark, Copenhagen at the Bella Arena. Action kicks off on 20 July and runs until Saturday, 23 July 2022, when a champion will be crowned.
The group stage runs from 20 to 21 July 2022. It features 24 clubs split into four groups of six clubs each. The game mode is 2v2, with the group stage featuring a Double Round Robin format. The top four clubs from each group advance to the playoffs aka Knockout stage.
From 22 to 23 July 2022, the Knockout stage of the FIFAe Club World Cup will take place. This stage features a single-elimination format, with all matches played over two legs.
There’s a huge $300,000 prize pool on the line. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R5.1 million to compete for.
