ACGL Uni online cups for April and May open up
Back in May 2021, South African tournament organizer African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL) announced an amazing initiative for local universities and students, called ACGL Uni. The goal is to make esports easy for students. ACGL Uni operates varsity-level leagues and tournaments for all South African universities, and now, online cups open for the first split of 2022 are live.

ACGL Uni online cups April and May
The first split of 2022 for the ACGL Uni online cups, from 9 April to 15 May 2022. There’s Rocket League, Clash Royale, FIFA 22 and League of Legends for local varsity-level students to enjoy. Each of these tournaments features a group stage followed by a finals stage.
- Rocket League – 3v3 tournament open to all platforms. Players can sign up for the group stage featuring a Round Robin format right now. It starts on 9 April 2022 and will be followed by a single-elimination finals stage starting on 15 May 2022. All matches are best-of-three.
- League of Legends – 5v5 tournament open to PC gamers, starting with a Round Robin format group stage on 9 April at 14:00 SAST. This is followed by a single-elimination finals stage, starting on 14 May 2022. All matches are best-of-three.
- Clash Royale – 1v1 tournament open to mobile gamers, also starting with a Round Robin format group stage on 9 April at 14:00 SAST. This is followed by a single-elimination finals stage starting on 15 May 2022 at 14:00 SAST. All the matches are also best-of-three.
- FIFA 22 – This only cup is a 1v1 tournament and just like the others, starts with a Round Robin format group stage on 9 April at 14:00 SAST. On 14 May at 14:00 SAST, the single-elimination finals stage gets underway. It is open to PlayStation gamers, and all matches are best-of-three.
