PGL Arlington Major results and highlights
As the last Major of 2022 before The International 11, the stakes for Dota 2 esports teams competing at the PGL Arlington Major couldn’t be much higher. In August, we saw the top 18 Dota 2 teams compete for their share of the $500,000 prize pool and those all-important 4,570 DPC points. Here’s what went down during the PGL Arlington Major, alongside some exciting highlights.
PGL Arlington Major results
Two Chinese teams topped the group stages of the PGL Arlington Major. PSG.LGD demolished the opposition in Group A with a 7-1 score, while Team Aster had a harder time with a 3-4 but still managed to top Group B.

In the playoffs, PSG.LGD continued their dominance by beating BOOM Esports 2-0, then followed it up with an impressive 2-1 against a revitalized OG.
The Chinese juggernauts then beat current The International champions Team Spirit in two gruelling games with a 2-0 scoreline to make it to the final of the PGL Arlington Major 2022.
Before getting knocked down to the lower bracket, Team Spirit scaped by Outsiders, reverse sweeping the squad for a 2-1 win. They beat Team Aster with a clean 2-0 and fell to PSG.LGD.
However, the TI10 champions clawed their way back during the lower bracket finale, beating Team Aster 2-1. Then, in the Grand Final of the PGL Arlington Major, Team Spirit showed their resolve by beating PSG.LGD 3-1 after losing the first game.
A big congratulations go out to Team Spirit for winning the PGL Arlington Major. It was an amazing event, especially since this was a LAN tournament in Arlington, United States, at the Esports Stadium Arlington.
