PGL Arlington Major 2022 viewer’s guide

In August, Dota 2 esports fans are in for a treat with the PGL Arlington Major 2022. It features the top 18 teams across the globe based on their performance in the recently-finished Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021/2022 Tour 3. It is also the last Major of 2022 before The International 11, so the stakes can’t be much higher. Here’s what you need to know, so you don’t miss a second of the action.

PGL Arlington Major details

The PGL Arlington Major 2022 is a LAN event taking place in Arlington, United States, at the Esports Stadium Arlington. The tournament runs from 4 to 14 August, when a champion will be crowned.

The teams will compete for their share of the $500,000 prize pool and those all-important 4,570 DPC points to qualify for The International 11.

PGL Arlington Major 2022 begins with the Group Stage. Here, there will be two groups of nine teams each, following a single round-robin format, with all matches being best-of-two. The top four teams from each group will advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs. Fifth and sixth-placed teams from each group advance to the lower bracket of the playoffs, while the rest are eliminated.
