Valve releases new CS:GO update adds quality-of-life features
Ever wanted to know which players are in a party together in your CS:GO match? Well, the latest CS:GO update from Valve has added a few quality-of-life features, one of which displays this aspect on the end-of-match screen.
Latest CS:GO update details
Valve released the latest CS:GO update in the early hours of the morning on 18 August. While the update isn’t big by any means, it does add two quality-of-life features.
The first one now shows which players joined the match in a party. This is now shown on the end-of-match scoreboard when Skill Groups are revealed. Further, there’s another feature which South African players might be interested in.
With the latest CS:GO update, the average wait times for finding matches on official game servers are now region-specific. This means you will see the correct average time when queuing for a match on official game servers, instead of the global average time.
Check out the full patch notes below:
- End of match scoreboard will now display which players were playing as a party when skill groups are revealed.
- Average wait times for finding matches on official game servers are now region-specific.
- Rcon connection from client will now get established asynchronously.
- Rcon address cannot be changed while connected to a dedicated server.
- Added a setting “rcon_connected_clients_allow†to disallow clients from connecting to other dedicated servers via rcon.
- Several stability improvements.
Valve didn’t go into detail about the “stability improvements” in the latest CS:GO update. Further, the Rcon enhancements are for server-side commands.
