Valve finally nerfs the Krieg in latest CS:GO update, buffs Deagle, and more

In the latest CS:GO update, Valve has finally heard the cry of fans, nerfing the Kreig SG553 to bring it in line with other weapons in its class. There has been a lot of talk about the Krieg and how the damage was a bit too high, combined with accuracy, making the weapon “overpowered”. Here’s what’s inside the new CS:GO update.

Weapon changes

Valve deployed balance changes to six CS:GO weapons, with the standout being the Kreig SG553, as mentioned above, as well as the Desert Eagle.

It looks like the Deagle has been buffed a bit too much, as jumping headshots are now a thing with the iconic gun. Fans have been showcasing on Twitter exactly how strong the Deagle is now, and it’s frighteningly accurate in the air.

Check out the CS:GO weapon changes below:

  • SG553 – Reduced rate of fire and accuracy to bring the weapon’s value to be more in line with other rifles.
  • AUG – Improved standing accuracy while unscoped. Slightly reduced scoped accuracy.
  • M4A1-S – Price reduced to $2900.
  • Deagle – Improved accuracy while jumping, lowering the time to recover accuracy after the player lands.
  • Tec-9 – Reduced firing inaccuracy.
  • Bizon – Increased armor penetration.
