As part of the Intel Grand Slam series, Intel Extreme Masters Season Dallas 2022 is kicking off today, 30 May 2022. Here’s everything CS:GO esports fans need to know about IEM Dallas 2022, including how to watch all the action live, the schedule, format, teams competing and more.

IEM Season XVII Dallas 2022 details

IEM Dallas 2022 runs from 30 May to 5 June 2022. This means CS:GO esports fans have a whole week of watching ahead of them.

It is an offline event, taking place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, USA. There’s a huge $250,000 prize pool up for grabs, as well a tonne of ESL Pro Tour and BLAST Premier points. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, the prize pool is nearly R4 million.

IEM Dallas 2022 begins with a group stage, with a double-elimination GSL-style format. The top three teams from each group advance to the playoffs. In the playoffs, six teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket. The semi-finals and quarterfinals are best-of-three, while the grand finals is best-of-five.

Since IEM Dallas 2022 takes place in the US, watching all the matches could prove a bit difficult for CS:GO esports fans in South Africa. Each day, matches are expected to start at roughly 18:00 SAST and run late into the night.
