ESEA Season 37 ZA gets big prize pool boost – Registrations close next week
In January 2021, we reported on ESEA South Africa expanded with two divisions and four seasons to take place this year. Recently, we also reported about $1,000 ESEA Cash Cups for local gamers to enjoy, and following ATK Arena’s victory at ESEA Season 36 South Africa, we’ve got some more great news to share for CS:GO teams.
ESEA Season 37 ZA prize pool & registrations
Local CS:GO teams can register for ESEA Season 37 South Africa right now. Registrations close on 26 April 2021. Matches can be scheduled from Thursday, 29 April, and the first default day takes place on 3 May 2021. You can head on over to ESEA to register your team now. You and your team will need an ESEA Premium or Insider membership to join in the action.
ESEA Season 37 South Africa has seen a huge increase in the prize pool. For the Intermediate Division there’s a prize pool of $6,000 on the line, while the Open Division will feature a prize pool of $1,500. That’s a total prize pool of $7,500 with an increase of $2,500 from the previous season. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R107,000.
SA Intermediate prize pool distribution
- 1st place – $1,800
- 2nd place – $1,200
- 3rd place – $1,000
- 4th place – $600
- 5th place – $400
- 6th place – $400
- 7th & 8th place – $300
SA Open Division prize pool distribution
- 1st place – $650
- 2nd place – $500
- 3rd & 4th place – $175
