CS:GO Gamedock Cup: Invited and Open Qualifier auto-berthed teams announced
Earlier this week, we reported on the Gamedock Cup #1 with a huge prize pool of R20,000 up for grabs. The cup features an Open Qualifier, as well as a secondary tournament, and the main tournament for local esports fans to enjoy. Now, the organizers have announced the top South African teams invited to the tournament.
Gamedock Cup #1 invited and auto-berthed teams
The invited teams to the Gamedock Cup #1 main event have been announced. There will be a total of eight teams competing in the main tournament, four invited teams, and four who made their way through the Open Qualifier.
The direct invite teams are:
- ATK Arena
- Goliath Gaming
- Energy Esports
- DNMK Esports
Four additional great local CS:GO esports teams have been auto-birthed into the Winner’s Bracket quarter-final of the Open Qualifier.
The auto-berthed teams are:
- Sinister5
- White Rabbit Gaming
- Royalty Esports
- Nibble Conspire
These four teams will fight it out against other teams who have made their way to the quarter-final of the Open Qualifier. There are only four spots available in the main tournament. All matches from the Open Qualifier quarter-final onward are BO3.
Join the Open Qualifier today
South African CS:GO teams can participate in the Gamedock Cup #1 via the Open Qualifier, which kicks off on 1 August 2020. Registrations close in the morning on 1 August, so don’t delay. Register for the Gamedock Cup #1 by heading to the tournament’s ESEA page now.
An ESEA premium subscription is not required to participate.
Remember, even if you don’t make it far in the Open Qualifier, you can still compete for a little something in Tournament B. Teams who get eliminated in Day 1 of the Open Qualifier will get to fight it out for $500 worth of CS:GO skins, so everyone has something to play for.
