Bravado qualifies for ESL Challenger Katowice 2023

There is no shortage of local CS:GO esports events to enjoy, and a recent one saw Bravado Gaming’s squad qualify for ESL Challenger Katowice 2023, which takes place in Poland in June. Here’s what you need to know.

ESL Challenger Katowice SA qualifier results

Following an exciting Open Qualifier, the South African Closed Qualifier for ESL Challenger Katowice 2023 took place recently, featuring four of the best CS:GO teams in the country and one spot at the ESL Challenger Katowice 2023 event on the line.

Four teams entered the double-elimination bracket for the Closed Qualifier, namely VYBN, DNMK Esports, Nixuh, and Bravado Gaming. In the first round, we saw Bravado Gaming demolish VYBN with a clean 2-0 victory but then got knocked down by Nixuh with a 2-0, as both maps went to 16-14 scorelines.

VYBN eliminated DNMK Esports and had to face Bravado Gaming in the lower bracket finals. However, Bravado Gaming showed the big match temperament the organization is known for, again beating VYBN 2-0 to face off against Nixuh in the grand finals.

In the grand finals of the ESL Challenger Katowice SA Closed Qualifier, Bravado took their revenge. The first map, Inferno, went into overtime before Bravado came out on top with a 19-17 win. Vertigo, however, wasn’t that close, as Bravado smacked down Nixuh with a 16-6 round score.

With the win, Bravado Gaming’s CS:GO squad qualifies for ESL Challenger Katowice 2023. The event takes place in Poland at the ESL Studio from 9 to 11 June 2023 and features a $100,000 prize pool. Stay tuned as we will bring you a viewer’s guide and results for the tournament.
