ATK Arena wins Predator Summer Slam CS:GO tournament
After some delays due to loadshedding, the Predator Summer Slam CS:GO tournament from Predator Gaming ZA and Gamedock finally took place this past weekend.
Predator Summer Slam results
The top South African CS:GO teams fought it out in the Predator Summer Slam tournament finals on 31st January 2021. With R20,000 in prize money up for grabs, as well as excellent casting from the talent, and skill from the CS:GO teams, it was a joy to watch.
ATK Arena took no prisoners in the upper bracket, beating Damage Control 2-0, followed by a close 2-1 against DNMK Esports, and a 2-0 against Goliath Gaming to make it to the finals. With the addition of Wiljahne “Mango†Smith, the ATK squad looked as strong as ever during the Predator Summer Slam.
While DNMK Esports got knocked down to the lower-bracket, the talented team fought back, eliminating Orgless Katte, Sinister 5 and Goliath Gaming to face ATK Arena in the grand finals. In the Predator Summer Slam grand final, we saw an extremely close first map on Inferno, which went to overtime with DNMK Esports coming out on top with a round score of 19-15.
ATK Arena’s big match temperament was on full display in the following maps, beating DNMK Esports 16-8 on Nuke, followed by another 16-8 victory on Mirage.

- 1st place – ATK Arena wins R7,500
- 2nd place – DNMK Esports wins R5,000
- 3rd place – Goliath Gaming wins R3,500
- 4th place – Sinister 5 wins R2,000
- 5th & 6th place – Orgless Katte & Exdee Gaming wins R1,000 each
- 7th & 8th place – Damage Control & White Rabbit Gaming
- 9th to 12th place – NiBBLE Conspire, Vicimus, Ekasi Esports & Rage Quit Mix
