IEM Katowice 2024 results & highlights

IEM Katowice 2024 was one of the most exciting Counter-Strike 2 tournaments yet, with 24 teams competing for their share of the $1,000,000 prize pool. Here’s what went down with our highlights of the event, following the eventual winners through their journey.

Spirit dominates IEM Katowice 2024

It was an incredible journey for Team Spirit and 17-year-old prodigy Danil “⁠Donk⁠” Kryshkovets, who went on an absolute rampage throughout the event.

In the Play-In stage, Team Spirit started their IEM Katowice 2024 campaign with a devasting 13-0 win over Apeks, then smashed Mongolz 2-0 to make it to the main event.

During the IEM Katowice main event Group Stage, Team Spirit again impressed in Group A, beating Na’Vi 2-1, Complexity 2-0, and then FaZe Clan 2-0 to make it to the semifinals of the playoffs.

Team Spirit could not be stopped in the IEM Katowice 2024 playoffs, demolishing Falcons 2-0 to make it to the grand final.

In the Grand Final, Team Spirit swept FaZe Clan with a clean 3-0, with 13-9 on Nuke, 13-11 on Mirage, and 13-3 on Overpass to claim the IEM Katowice 2024 trophy in front of a roaring crowd at the Spodek Arena in Poland.

With the win, Team Spirit gets $400,000 and spots at IEM Cologne 2024 and the BLAST Premier World Final 2024. Danil “⁠Donk⁠” Kryshkovets was the event’s MVP and the youngest-ever player to win an HLTV MVP award in an S-Tier event!
