COD MW3 Nedbank Gold Cup announced with R10,000 prize pool

South African tournament organizer Mettlestate financial institution Nedbank has teamed up to bring Call of Duty fans a massive treat this month. Yes, the inaugural Nedbank Gold Cup features a prize pool of R10,000, and as per the announcement via Mettlestate, it is “about celebrating the spirit of competition, strategy, and sportsmanship on the digital battlefield!” Sounds good to us… Let’s jump into the details!

Nedbank Gold Cup details

First up, this is a 4v4 tournament, so go get your team together and register without delay. Registration is, of course, completely free of charge. Despite free entry, there’s a prize pool of R10,000 to compete for, with the following distribution:

  • 1st place wins R5,000
  • 2nd place wins R3,000
  • 3rd place wins R2,000

Now that you are sufficiently hyped, head on over to the Nedbank Gold Cup registration page on Mettlestate without delay, as there are only spots for 64 teams. Registration closes on 18 February 2024. Check out the most important dates below.

Nedbank Gold Cup Dates
  • Registrations: 5th Feb – 18th Feb
  • Group Stages: 19th Feb – 10th March
  • Playoffs: 11th March – 24th March
  • Live Finals: 30th March

The finals will be streamed on 30th March 2024, with precise times yet to be determined. We do know, however, that you can tune in to Mettlestate’s Twitch channel to watch the finals of the Nedbank Gold Cup live, so don’t miss out.
