Call of Duty: Mobile gets South African servers & celebration

It’s always fantastic news when South Africa gets dedicated servers for an esports title or even just a relatively competitive title. We are happy to report that South Africa now has Call of Duty: Mobile servers, and there will be some celebrations at Comic Con Africa this week, from 22 to 25 September 2022.

COD Mobile Celebrations

Local games publisher Carry1st and music superstar Nasty C have partnered with Call of Duty: Mobile to celebrate this fantastic news. We’ve got some quotes according to a press release, which you can read below.

Carry1st CEO, Cordel Robben-Coker, states: â€œWe’re excited to partner with Call of Duty: Mobile to highlight the hugely-popular gaming experience to both players that already love the game and new recruits experiencing it for the first time!”

Nasty C stays: â€œI’ve been a gamer all my life, and it’s amazing to partner with Carry1st and Call of Duty: Mobile to hype my
favourite game in South Africa. I’m excited to show off Call of Duty: Mobile to the next generation of players across the country!”

Call of Duty: Mobile ambassador Grant Hinds will also be there. If you attend Comic Con Africa, you should visit the Call of Duty: Mobile booth (B705). If you attend, you stand a chance to win a VIP gaming experience with Nasty C and R5,000 in cash.

There will also be a COD Mobile Battle Royale tournament, and all skill levels are invited. This tournament is brought to you by ACGL in partnership with Carry1st and COD Mobile. The top players from the leaderboard will compete in a 5v5 private tournament to earn exclusive prizes.

At the booth, fans can also meet characters from the game, and you are all invited to put the new game speeds to the test. Join the discussion on social media and celebrate this occasion using the #AnswerTheCall hashtag.

The TLDR version is that you can head to Comic Con Africa and celebrate the launch of South African servers for Call of Duty: Mobile this week.
