ACGL Grind COD MW2: Everything you need to know

As part of the ACGL Grind mega-event, powered by Predator, South African tournament organizer African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL) has a big ACGL Grind COD MW2 event coming up. Here’s what you need to know, including all the most important details.

ACGL Grind COD MW2 details

You can sign up for the ACGL Grind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 event for free by heading to the tournament’s registration page on ACGL. Signups close on 28 May 2023, and the event kicks off on the same day, at 10:00 SAST.

This is a 4v4 tournament, so grab your friends to enter. Please note that both Keyboard+Mouse and Controllers are allowed in the ACGL Grind COD MW2 event. The tournament has a baseline prize pool of R10,000, which has already been increased to R13,000 thanks to two community goals being reached. Check out the baseline prize pool distribution below.

• 1st place – R6,500
• 2nd place – R3,250
• 3rd place – R2,250
• 4th place – R1,500

There are four community goals:

• Get 32 sign ups, increase prize pool by R1,000
• Get 750k social reach, increase prize pool by R2,000 (completed)
• Get 1 million social reach, increase prize pool by R2,000 (Completed)
• Get 100 concurrent viewers in 3 streams, increase prize pool by R1,000

If you would like to see COD MW2 return for ACGL Grind Season 2 and increase its prize pool, you should definitely use the #CODZAGRIND hashtag on social media.

ACGL explains how it all works:

“Should the hashtag #CODZAGRIND gain the highest social reach in the ACGL Grind, the prizes will be increased by R6,000. For the 2nd highest reach, it will be increased by R4,000. If it has the lowest, it will not return for the next #ACGLgrind. Reach can be tracked here.“

Fans can expect regular live streams via the ACGL Twitch channel. “This provides an opportunity for fans to not only watch the competition but also interact with the players and engage with the community.”
