Zero Hour +1 tournament announced for Warzone

ACGL has announced the South African qualifiers for the Zero Hour +1 Warzone Showdown event. The tournament finals are scheduled for 22 December 2020 and will feature other teams from the EMEA region. The regional final features a $20,000 prize pool.

South Africa has been offered four slots, with ACGL hosting a unique qualifier this Friday (18 December 2020).

Teams of South African trios will drop in the new Rebirth Island of Warzone to compete in a kill race tournament. The top four teams after the four hours of submissions will secure their places in the EMEA finals.

But there’s a twist is being added. Each of the four teams will select one of the invited local streamers to join their team for the finals. The selection of the streamer will be based on each team’s placement in the qualifier.

There is a dedicated landing page for the qualifier on the ACGL site, and registrations are now open. Teams can sign up until 18h55 on Friday night.

The tournament series promises a good opportunity for local Warzone players to show their skills against international players. Prize pool breakdown at the EMEA finals are still to be confirmed.
