Fortnite UFC and SSBU cups via Mettlestate taking place this weekend

After three weeks of Festive Countdown cups from South African tournament organizer Mettlestate, we can now look forward to the final two cups of this initiative taking place this weekend. These two cups include Fortnite UFC and Super Smash Bros Ultimate for local gamers to enjoy.

Fortnite UFC cup details

The Fortnite UFC cup, also known as Fortnite Ultimate Fighting Championship, takes place on a box fighting map. You can grab two friends and enter this Trios tournament now, with registrations open on Mettlestate’s website until Friday, 18 December at 19:00. The Fortnite UFC cup kicks off the following day, Saturday, 19 December at 15:00.

The prize pool distribution:
  • 1st place – R500
  • 2nd place – R300
  • 3rd place – R200

The Fortnite UFC cup will take place in a double-elimination format. It is open to PC, console and mobile gamers.

SSBU cup details

Super Smash Bros Ultimate players can enjoy the cup taking place this Sunday, 20 December 2020 starting at 14:00. Registrations are open so head on over to the cup’s dedicated Mettlestate page to enter before they close on Saturday, 19 December at 19:00.

The prize pool distribution:
  • 1st place – R500
  • 2nd place – R300
  • 3rd place – R200

The SSBU cup is open to Switch gamers and will take place in a 1v1 format.
