Mettlestate Cash Cups from 31 August to 6 September 2026
South African tournament organizer Mettlestate is kicking off September 2026 with a bang, offering a bunch of new Cash Cups for us local gamers to enjoy and compete in this week. As is tradition, let’s take a look at the important details to brighten our Monday morning.
Cash Cups from Mettlestate this week
There are a handful of five (5) Cash Cups for local gamers to compete in, and judging by the cover image, these are sponsored by Knorr. The Mettlestate Cash Cups take place on active days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday), and all feature cash prizes.
You can enter as many as you want for free. Find the vital details for these tournaments below, including the titles, registration links, start date/time (SAST), and tournament format.
- EA FC Mobile Cup – 1v1 tournament starting on Monday, 31 August 2026, at 19:30.
- Chess Blitz Cup – 1v1 tournament starting on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, at 19:30.
- Fortnite Cup – Duos battle royale tournament starting on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, at 19:30.
- Clash Royale Cup – 1v1 tournament starting on Thursday, 3 September 2026, at 19:30.
- Mobile Legends Bang Bang Cup – 5v5 tournament starting on Saturday, 5 September 2026, at 14:00.
Please note: The information about the Cash Cups above has been sourced from the Mettlestate event page. All times in the list below are in SAST. The tournament organizer may add more events at short notice, so check their page periodically for updates.
Registration for these tournaments closes about one to two hours before the events begin, with check-in during the hour before. All tournaments are free to enter, and feature a base prize pool of R1,000, which increases to R2,000 depending on participants’ Premium (VIP) status.
Prize pool distribution:
- 1st place: R500 (R1,000 with VIP)
- 2nd place: R300 (R600 with VIP)
- 3rd place: R200 (R400 with VIP)
