VCT 2026 Americas Stage 2 viewer’s guide
Following the unexpected yet exciting events of the EWC 2026 VALORANT tournament, where two North American teams met in the Grand Final, with 100 Thieves beating NRG, the VCT 2026 Americas Stage 2 tournament just got even more exciting. Here’s what VALORANT esports fans must know so they don’t miss a second of the action.
VCT 2026 Americas Stage 2 event details
At the VCT 2026 Americas Stage 2 event, a total of 16 teams are competing for just two spots at the crowning Champions event at the end of the season, and a $250,000 prize pool, which is roughly R4 million at the current rate.
The Group Stage and most of the Playoffs Stage take place at the Riot Games Arena venue in Los Angeles, and the top four will take place in front of a huge crowd at the Suhai Music Hall in São Paulo, Brazil.
The tournament begins with a Group Stage (16 July to 9 August) featuring two single-round robin groups of six teams each. All matches are BO3, with the top two teams in each group advancing to the Playoffs Stage. The 3rd to 6th-placed teams will duke it out in the Play-In Stage (13 to 23 August).
The final eight teams will compete in the VCT 2026 Americas Stage 2 Playoffs, from 27 August to 6 September. All matches are BO3, except for the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final, which are both BO5.

There are four Challengers teams also competing starting in the Play-In Stage. At the time of writing, we know of M80 and La Masia, with the final two teams to be determined.
