VCT 2024 Masters Shanghai viewer’s guide
Attention, all VALORANT esports fans! The second VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) masters event of the year begins this week. We are, of course, talking about VCT 2024 Masters Shanghai, where the best teams in the world will compete for a huge prize pool over more than two weeks of competition. Here’s what you need to know.
VCT 2024 Masters Shanghai details
The 12 best VALORANT teams are set to compete starting Thursday, 23 May 2024, in Shanghai, China, at the Valo Arena venue. The event will run until 9 June 2024, with the final three days taking place at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in front of a massive crowd.
A total of 12 teams are competing, with four top-seeded teams (#1 in each region) making it directly to the playoffs. The top teams are:
- 100 Thieves (Americas)
- Fnatic (EMEA)
- Paper Rex (Pacific)
- EDward Gaming (China)
These teams will be joined in the playoffs of VCT 2024 Masters Shanghai by the four teams who make it out of the Swiss Stage. The Swiss Stage is the first stage of the competition, running from 23 to 27 May 2024. Teams Competing in the Swiss Stage are:
- FunPlus Phoenix
- Team Heretics
- Gen.G Esports
- G2 Esports
- Dragon Ranger Gaming
- T1
- FUT Esports
- Leviatán
