Valorant Summer Open by VS Gaming taking place this weekend
South African Valorant squads shouldn’t miss out on the Telkom VS Gaming Valorant Summer Open tournament, a “holiday special” taking place this weekend. There’s even a prize pool of R5,000 to fight for, so let’s dive straight into the details.
Valorant Summer Open details
You can head on over to the Valorant Summer Open tournament page over at the DGL website to enter without delay. Registrations close on 9 December, and since this is a 5v5 tournament, you will need four friends to join in as well.
The Telkom VS Gaming Valorant Summer Open isn’t your standard Valorant tournament. Instead, it features the Escalation game mode.
Telkom VS Gaming explains: “The Telkom VS Gaming Summer Open is a fast-paced casual holiday event taking place early this December. Escalation is an epic race-style game mode, Kill and race the opposition through a cycle of different weapons and abilities, advancing together as a team through 12 Escalation levels. The first team to finish level 12, or the furthest along in 10 minutes, wins the Escalation.”
Sounds like fun, right? Well, things might get very competitive either way, as the first-place team takes the entire prize pool of R5,000.
The schedule in SAST is:
- Round 1: 11 December at 13:00.
- Round 2: 11 December at 14:00.
- Round 3: 12 December at 13:00.
- Round 4 (Final): 12 December at 14:00.
