VALORANT gets new Corrode map in Act 4 update

With the VCT 2025 Masters Toronto event now complete, Riot Games is unleashing the VALORANT Act IV update for the 2025 season, also known as patch 11.00. The new season kicks off on Wednesday, 25 June 2025, at roughly 14:00 SAST.

New content is added with patch 11.00 this week, which includes a new Battle Pass for players to grind through, cosmetics to unlock, and a brand-new and exciting map, Corrode.

We first saw Corrode in a showmatch during the Masters Toronto event, and now, Riot Games has lifted the veil on this exciting competitive addition. Corrode is part of the competitive map rotation right from the start of Act 4, with a 50% reduced RR loss during the first two weeks of play.

Set in the fictional Omega Earth in Northern France, Corrode looks almost like a medieval castle, and the color scheme of grey and purple is brilliant, in my humble opinion. Don’t believe me? See for yourself! Below, you can check out the full, official trailer for VALORANT’s new map.

We can’t wait to see what type of tactics the best teams in the world come up with on Corrode, and how (or if) it will shake up the metagame.
