Valorant All Stars tournament with R50,000 prize pool announced

South African tournament organizer Mettlestate and Incredible Connection, in partnership with HP Omen, has announced the next All Star Gaming event. It is called the Valorant All Star tournament, and it features a massive R50,000 prize pool. Here’s what you need to know.

Valorant All Star details

First and foremost, despite the massive prize pool, registration is completely free. You can head over to the All Star 2022 page on Mettlestate to register.

This is a 5v5 tournament only available to PC gamers since Valorant is only available on PC. Registration closes on Sunday, 4 September at 19:00, so don’t miss out on your chance to sign up.

The group stage for the Valorant All Star tournament will begin on Monday, 5 September 2022. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs, which begin on 26 September 2022. On Saturday, 1 October 2022, the grand finals of Valorant All Star will take place starting at 14:00 SAST.

Prize pool distribution:

• 1st place – R25,000
• 2nd place – R12,000
• 3rd place – R8,000
• 4th place – R5,000

Group Stage:

• Teams will be placed into one of four groups
• The group stages will be played as the Best of 3
• These teams will play a round-robin format during the group stages
• Where teams will all face each other team to get our top teams in each group

Playoffs:

• The top two teams from each group will be promoted to the Playoffs bracket
• Giving us our top 8 teams
• The bracket will be a single elimination Best of 3 bracket
• Teams will play down until we have our finalists

Grand Finals:

• The final two teams will play in the Best of 5 matches
• The finals will be streamed
• At the end of the Best of 5 the teams with 3 match wins will be crowned our grand champions
