Mythic 2024 Valorant announced with up to R30,000 prize pool
South African tournament organizer African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL), headline sponsor PCBuilder, and its brand partners AMD, MSI, Crucial, Redragon, Windows 11, and Xbox Game Pass have announced the return of the Mythic series, this time featuring Riot Games’ ever-popular tactical FPS, Valorant! Here’s what you need to know!
Mythic 2024 Valorant details
First up, it is completely free to enter the Mythic 2024 Valorant event with your team. Simply head on over to the Group Stage page and sign up today. Registrations close on 12 April 2024, and the Round-Robin format group stage will commence one day later, on 13 April 2024, at 14:00 SAST.
The top four teams from the Group Stage will earn spots in the Mythic 2024 Valorant finals. The final four teams will battle it out until a champion is crowned on 18 May 2024. We expect to see a fantastic stream during the finals as well, which we will cover when more information becomes available.
The baseline, guaranteed prize pool is R20,000. With each community goal reached, the prize pool increases by R2,000. There are five community goals, which you can view below, which means the prize pool can grow to R30,00 for the Mythic 2024 Season 1 Valorant event. Check out the community goals below:
- A social media reach of one million on #Mythic24
- At least 32 confirmed teams for the series
- 150 Twitter retweets of the announcement tweet
- Over 100 concurrent viewers in the finals livestream
- Completing all four other community goals
The goals must be achieved by 19 May 2024, so start using that #Mythic24 and retweet the announcement today! Even if you don’t participate with a team in the Mythic 2024 Valorant event, you can still spend some Embers to enter giveaways and maybe even earn some stream drops.
