Mist Esports Invitational is a local Valorant tournament taking place this weekend
South African gamers wanting to get into competitive Valorant can enter the Mist Esports Invitational tournament, which takes place this weekend. There’s also a cash prize up for grabs, giving more incentive to get your Valorant squad together.
Mist Esports Invitational details
The Mist Esports Invitational is open to all players. It starts this coming Friday, 10 July 2020, and runs until Saturday, 11 July. Grab your team and register via the tournament’s FaceIt page now. Registrations close on 10 July at 12:00 SAST.
The Mist Esports Invitational kicks off at 18:00 on 10 July, with the Saturday start time also being 18:00. The tournament will take place in a single-elimination bracket format, with three rounds on Friday, followed by two rounds on Saturday.
There is no entry fee to join the Mist Esports Invitational. However, there’s still a nice prize pool of R1,000 up for grabs. This is a winner takes all tournament, so if your team wins, you get the full prize pool. The tournament is sponsored by Pura Vida Water.
Other important details include:
- The tournament will be played in 5v5 Bomb mode.
- Teams are allowed two substitutes.
- Maps are Haven, Split, Bind, and Ascent.
- All matches are best-of-one, except for the finals, which is best-of-three.
There are 26 open slots to fill in the tournament, with six teams receiving direct invites.
