Limitless wins RLCS 2022-23 SSA Winter Cup

The Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) for Sub-Saharan Africa, RLCS 2022-2023 SSA, has been amazing to watch thus far, and this weekend, the Winter Cup came to a thrilling conclusion. Here’s what went down at the RLCS 2022-23 SSA Winter Cup.

RLCS 2022-23 SSA Winter Cup results

The RLCS 2022-2023 SSA region has been dominated by one team featuring three South African players and a US coach. We are, of course, talking about Limitless, previously known as May Contain Nuts. The RLCS 2022-2023 SSA Winter Cup was no different.

In the group stage, Limitless topped Group A, while Orlando Pirates Exdee topped Group B, Nixuh topped Group C, and AIPX Gaming topped Group D. In the playoffs, we saw Limitless make quick work of SRZ with a 3-0 and beat White Rabbit Gaming 4-2 to make it to the grand final of the RLCS 2022-2023 Winter Cup.

The dominant team then faced Nixuh in the grand final. Despite going down on the first Stadium, Limitless bounced back to win the next three. Nixuh managed to pull one back before losing 4-2. With the win, Limitless earns $6,000 (of the $20,000 USD prize pool) for their victory, while Nixuh gets $4,000 for their efforts.

For those unaware, Limitless features three South African players and a United States coach. Check out their roster below.

  • David “2Die4” Morgenrood
  • Gareth “Snowyy” Spiers
  • Ethan “Darth.” Deysel
  • Aaron “Noxes” Cadiz (Coach)

The tournament was streamed on ACGL Alpha, and you can view the exciting RLCS matches on the Twitch channel to catch up on what happened.
