RLCS 2023 SSA Spring Cup viewer’s guide

Rocket League esports fans rejoice! This weekend, you can watch the Rock League Championship Series (RLCS) for Sub-Saharan Africa, RLCS 2022-2023 SSA Spring Cup, with the top teams competing for their share of the huge prize pool. Here’s what you need to know.

RLCS SSA Spring Cup details

From 26 to 28 May 2023, the RLCS SSA Spring Cup’s main event will take place, with 16 teams qualified via RLCS points and those who’ve gotten through the Open and then Closed qualifiers.

Sixteen (16) teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket, where Round 1 and the quarterfinals of the Upper Bracket are BO5, and the Semifinals and Finals are BO7. The grand finals of the RLCS 2023 SSA Spring Cup is BO7 with a Bracket Reset, which means that the team coming from the Lower Finals will need to win two BO7 series to claim the first-place prize.

Teams are competing for their share of the $20,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s over R380,000.

The RLCS Spring Cup teams:
  • Limitless
  • Orlando Pirates Exdee
  • Nixuh
  • White Rabbit Gaming
  • French class
  • Red Crown Esports
  • AIPX Gaming
  • Nkosi Ballers
  • CosmiCo Esports
  • Team Fusion
  • Omnius Gaming
  • Unity

In case you missed it, Limitless got back on form by winning the RLCS 2023 SSA Spring Open earlier this month. They are the team to beat, and it will be exciting to see if someone can dethrone this powerful squad, or if they will reign supreme once again.
