Rocket League now free-to-play with revamped tournaments and more

If you haven’t played Rocket League because you’ve never wanted to open your wallet for the unique esports title before, then you can now put your wallet back in your pocket. Rocket League has gone free-to-play on the Epic Games Store, and you can jump into the action right now.

Developer Psyonix’s popular esports title Rocket League can be picked up from the Epic Games Store page right now. The game is permanently free-to-play on the platform, and this move should definitely breathe new life into the esports title.

The free-to-play update comes with cross-platform progression, legacy status items for those who qualify, as well as several other additions you can view below.

  • New Bot difficulty
  • New Merc Hitbox

Lastly, if you add Rocket League to your library between September 23 and October 23 you will receive a $10 EGS coupon that is redeemable on games and add-ons $14.99 and up according to Epic Games.
