Mettlestate cups taking place this weekend with cash prizes
South African tournament organizer Mettlestate continues to provide local gamers with great cups to compete in over the weekends. There are three Mettlestate cups taking place this weekend, in partnership with ASUS ROG. Let’s kick things off with the Magic the Gathering cup, which was postponed last week.
Magic the Gathering: Arena cup
Registration for the 1v1 Magic the Gathering: Arena cup is open, and you can register for the cup by heading to its dedicated Mettlestate page.
There’s a prize pool of R1,000 up for grabs. You have until Friday, 24 July at 19:00 to register. The cup will kick off on Saturday, 25 July at 15:00 SAST.
Prize pool distribution:
- 1st place – R500
- 2nd place – R300
- 3rd place – R200
This is a 1v1 cup and it is open to PC gamers.
F1 2020 cup
Mettlestate also has an F1 2020 cup taking place this weekend for all those F1 fans out there. You can register by heading to the cup’s Mettlestate page. Registrations close on Friday, 24 July at 19:00. The cup starts at 10:00 on Saturday, 25 July. There a prize pool of R2,000 up for grabs.
Prize pool distribution:
- 1st place – R800
- 2nd place – R600
- 3rd place – R400
- 4th place – R200
The F1 2020 cup is open to PC gamers.
FIFA 20 cup
On Sunday, you can participate in the FIFA 20 cup. Registrations are open now, so head on over to the cup’s Mettlestate page to enter. Registration closes on Saturday, 25 July. The cup kicks off on Sunday, 26 July at 15:00 SAST. There’s a prize pool of R1,000 up for grabs.
Prize pool distribution:
- 1st place – R500
- 2nd place – R300
- 3rd place – R200
This is a 1v1 cup open to PS4 gamers.
