Bravado and Pirates eSports RLCS 2022 World Championship run ends
Bravado announced in May this year that they are expanding as a “premier MEA esports org & gaming lifestyle brandâ€. As reported in July, the organization’s Rocket League team, alongside South Africans Pirates eSports, managed to qualify for the Wild Card stage of the RLCS 2022 World Championship, an amazing feat in its own right.
Bravado knocked out of RLCS 2022
Bravado Gaming and Pirates eSports’ Rocket League teams went up against some of the best teams in the world during the RLCS 2022 World Championship Wild Card stage. The competition was intense, with 16 teams and only eight spots to fight for in the group stage of the main event.
Unfortunately, neither team made it past the Wildcard stage. Bravado Gaming went 0-3, and Pirates eSports went 1-3 during the Wildcard stage. Pirates eSports did manage to take a win off Gaimin Gladiators, a good achievement in its own right.
Bravado Gaming placed 15th during the Wildcard stage of RLCS 2022. Pirates eSports placed 13th. Overall, for the entire tournament, Bravado placed 23rd to 24th, and Pirates eSports placed 20th to 22nd. Therefore, Bravado walks away with $6,800, while Pirates eSports walks away with $10,200 for their efforts.
It was fantastic to see these teams compete against tough international competition. For those who didn’t know, a team from South Africa, basically ATK Arena’s Rocket League squad, managed to place 4th at Commonwealth Esports Championship (CEC) 2022 as well!
