Random Select: Prime Tekken 7 in CPT with R17,000 prize pool
If you are a Tekken 7 esports fan and happen to be in Cape Town or surrounding areas (or don’t mind travelling), then you are in for a treat with the Random Select: Prime Tekken 7 event. This tournament from Random Select Events (RSE) features a huge prize pool. Here’s what you need to know.
Random Select: Prime Tekken 7 details
First and foremost, registration closes on 16 September 2022, and the event runs from 24 to 25 September 2022. This weekend event can be registered on its Start.gg page. The tournament features a double-elimination format.
This is a Tekken World Tour DOJO PRIME event for those looking to earn TWT points. However, it also features a prize pool of $1,000. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R17,400. At the time of writing, the prize pool distribution is unknown.
There is no late or on-site registration for the Random Select: Prime Tekken 7 event. There’s also a registration fee of $6 attached. Those who want to spectate can purchase a weekend pass (both days) for $2. All registered players will receive a customised player badge.
On the topic of spectators, then organizer explains: “Spectators that register before September 10 will receive a custom badge. Those registering after September 10 and on-site registrants are not guaranteed a spectator badge and may receive a sticker, stamp, wristband or a similar generic indicator of access to the venue.”
The Random Select: Prime Tekken 7 event has a player cap of 128, so don’t miss out! It takes place at a gorgeous hotel.
