Two South Africans qualify for FIFAe Nations Series Playoffs 2022

Two South African FIFA players, Julio “Beast” Bianchi (Goliath Gaming) and Kaylan Moodley (SAF) competed in the FIFAe Nations Series 2022 – Middle East & Africa online qualifiers this past weekend. Playing under the South African Football Association (SAFA) banner, the two players from South Africa made us proud. Here’s what went down.

The team from South Africa made waves during the group stage of the FIFAe Nations Series 2022 – Middle East & Africa online qualifiers, beating their competition with ease. In the group stage, the team went 7-1, topping Group B in the process.

During the Bracket stage of the qualifiers, Julio “Beast” Bianchi and Kaylan Moodley didn’t slow down at all, first beating Qatar with a score of 4-2. Then, the team from South Africa went on to beat the United Arab Emirates in a close match, winning 3-2 and thereby qualifying for the FIFAe Nations Series Playoffs 2022.

So what’s next? Well, the FIFAe Nations Series Playoffs 2022 (online event) will take place from 10 to 12 June. It will feature 46 teams, including South Africa. The top 23 teams from the playoffs will qualify for the FIFAe Nations Cup 2022. This tournament is an offline event scheduled to take place in Denmark, Copenhagen at the end of July 2022, and will feature a prize pool of $400,000. At the current Dollar to Rand, that’s roughly R6.2 million!

We hope to see the team from South Africa make it to the FIFAe Nations Cup 2022 and past the FIFAe Nations Series Playoffs 2022. So far, they’ve taken some big steps to glory, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for these two players.
