Soccer Laduma League Season 3 FIFA 22 announced
Following two successful seasons, South African tournament organizer Mettlestate has announced the Soccer Laduma League Season 3 for local FIFA 22 players to enjoy, powered by PUMA. Running from mid-February until late in March, there’s a whole lot of action to be had. Here are the important details FIFA 22 players need to know.
Soccer Laduma League S3 details
Registration for the Soccer Laduma League Season 3 qualifiers stage is now open. It is completely free to enter and you can head on over to the league’s page on Mettlestate to enter. It is open to FIFA 22 players on PlayStation.
Here’s how the qualifiers will work:
- Players will be divided into 16 groups.
- The top player from each group at the end of the qualifiers will be promoted.
- The top 16 players from the qualifiers will be promoted to the Premier league group stages.
- The group stage will take place from 14 February to 27 February.
- Players that placed 1st from each group at the end of the qualifiers will be placed into the Premier League.
There is both Premier and Legends leagues. The top eight players from the Premier League will be promoted to the Legends League next season, while the bottom eight will be relegated to the qualifiers for the next season. The top eight players in the Legends league will remain in it for the next season, while the bottom eight will be relegated to the Premier League.
Prize pools:
- Legends league: R10 000 in cash
- Premier league: R10 000 in PUMA merchandise
On 28 February, the group stage for both Premier and Legends leagues will start. Below, you can check out the format of the Soccer Laduma League.
Group stage:
- Players will be split into groups
- Group stages will start 28 February
- Players will be placed into a round-robin and organise their own matches.
- The group stage will take place over 3 weeks
- All matches will be a BO3
- The top 8 players from each group will go through to the elimination bracket.
Grand finals:
- Grand finals will start 26 March
- Players will be placed into a new single-elimination bracket.
- Seeding will be based on placement in the previous season
- All matches will be a BO3, except for the final match which will be a BO5
