Rocomamas Smashball Series hits Cape Town
The Rocomamas Smashball Series (a FIFA 20 tournament series), kicks off its Cape Town leg this week. This follows five weeks of tournaments in Gauteng which saw four players secure spots in the grand final this December.
Last Tuesday, the top ten Gauteng players faced off in Melrose Arch to secure the four slots on offer. Following a close fought Swiss tournament format, the top four emerged as follows:

The entry fee is R100 per player, which is payable at the venue on the day. The entry fee includes access to the tournament, as well as a burger and drink. Pre-registration is however recommended, and spectators are welcome. On the line per Cape Town tournament is R1,000 in cash, a spot in the grand finals and a gaming peripheral sponsored by Apex Interactive.
