Mamelodi Sundowns FIFA 23 Durban and CPT qualifiers this weekend
South African tournament organizer Mettlestate, and Mamelodi Sundowns have recently announced the Mamelodi Sundowns FIFA 23 Championship will return for a second edition this year. The Mamelodi Sundowns FIFA 23 Championship will feature a massive R200,000 prize pool, with finals taking place at rAge 2023 in December.
If you think you have what it takes to be one of the top eight local FIFA 23 players that will be competing in the finals, then you’ll have to make it through one of the qualifiers. The first two live qualifiers are taking place this weekend, so here are the most important details!
Mamelodi Sundowns Durban & CPT qualifiers
Both these qualifiers for the Mamelodi Sundowns FIFA 23 Championship take place on Saturday, 14 October 2023, starting at 09:00. You must register for the Durban qualifier and the Cape Town qualifier to claim a spot.
The person who wins the event will qualify for the Mamelodi Sundowns FIFA 23 Championship at rAge 2023 this year. These are offline events, so you will have to attend in person to compete. Find additional format details as per the Mettlestate rules page below.
QUALIFIER 1:
- DURBAN – Gateway Theatre of Shopping – 14th October
- Players register before the day and will be placed in a single elimination bracket.
- Players will then report their scores to the admins to be input into the leaderboard
- Once all players have faced each other, the top player will be promoted to the Grand Finals
QUALIFIER 2:
- CAPE TOWN – V&A Waterfront – 14th October
- Players register before the day and will be placed in a single elimination bracket.

- Once all players have faced each other, the top player will be promoted to the Grand Finals
